Anatel alerts for registration of telecommunication stations
In view of the term of the new General Licensing Regulation, August 10, 2020, the National Telecommunication Agency (Anatel) reiterates that the granted institutions must maintain compliance for licenses and the registration of stations destined for the exploitation of telecommunications services .
It is mandatory to register, in the Technical and Administrative Database (BDTA), the data of the stations destined for the exploitation of telecommunications services, whether or not subject to licensing.
Exclusively receiving stations can also be registered with the BDTA if the provider or the owner requires protection against harmful interference.
The procedures are established in the current regulation for the licensing of earth stations (Resolution 593/2012) and in the new General Licensing Regulation (Resolution 719/2020, of February 10, 2020, which will come into force 180 days after its publication, or that is, on August 10, 2020).
The Agency warns that it is of utmost importance, for the analysis, studies and effective administration of the use of the spectrum, that Anatel systems (currently STEL and Mosaico) are permanently updated with information and the maximum possible accuracy.
